Everyone had lots of fun when it snowed! There were so many opportunities for new learning! Children enjoyed making footprints, sliding down the hill, making snowballs and even discovering that they could change the colour of the snow!

Children in the Toddler Room had an exciting visit to the railway station.
Nursery School went to see their friends at Farnworth Care Home. They sang some Christmas songs together and met some alpacas too!
December 2023 saw the 20th anniversary since the opening of our Day Care Centre. A celebration event was attended by staff and Governors, as well as previous managers and staff.
Forest School during the Autumn and Winter months offers opportunities for: learning about the seasons and the weather; exploring the environment and the natural world; learning to use simple tools and equipment; making shelters; and having fun and forming new friendships.
Parents and children celebrated harvest together, at our traditional Harvest Lunch.
Our Sensory Room was largely funded by the Community Lottery Fund, which we were awarded in the Autumn of 2022. It is a fabulous sensory space for all children, from babies through to 4-year-olds, to relax, wind down, explore colour, light, shape, movement and cause and effect.
Dance lessons are an important part of the curriculum for our 3–4-year-olds. We watch them grow in confidence and see their body control and coordination develop before our very eyes! We see some children who are reluctant to join-in at the beginning, dance with absolute gusto and sheer joy by the last week.
Summer is a time for phenomenal learning in Forest School: exploring nature; tree climbing; tool skills; fire lighting; bug detecting; and making new friendships.
Dads, Grandads and other people who are special in our children’s lives, attended our annual Fathers’ Day Breakfast. They enjoyed tea/coffee and a bacon or sausage barm. Some had chance for a little play, or a quick story too.
