On behalf of the staff, governors, children and parents may I extend a very warm welcome to you and your family to Grosvenor Nursery School and Day Care Centre.
At Grosvenor, we aim to ensure that every child has the opportunity to develop and learn in a safe, secure and enabling environment. Grosvenor is an inclusive setting, where every child is valued and their progress and achievements are celebrated. During their time with us, children are actively encouraged to develop their self-confidence and independence and to develop a positive, caring attitude towards others. They are supported to reach their full potential and are equipped with the skills, knowledge and a positive attitude to learning which enables them to enjoy success on the next stage of their educational journey.
We believe the success to your child’s education is very much a partnership between home, school and the community. Children come to nursery with such a wealth of experience and knowledge. It is our aim to build on this together with parents, to ensure that every child, no matter what ability or background, gets the best start to their educational journey. Our children go on to attend a variety of Primary Schools in the local area and even those further afield. Parental input and involvement is so important in nursery life, please ask your child’s key person to find ways you can support your child at home and in nursery.

I am very proud to be Head teacher of Grosvenor Nursery School and Day Care Centre. We have a staff team of very experienced, hard-working and dedicated Early Years practitioners who strive for the best outcomes for every child within their care. The children are delightful and make this school a happy place to work in. We have recently been graded once again, Outstanding by Ofsted. This is our third consecutive grading of Outstanding. Parents tell us they are very happy with nursery and the care we provide for their children.
Whilst this website provides a lot of useful information, it is no substitute for a visit to our wonderful setting, It is only by visiting the nursery and seeing everyone working together that the real atmosphere can be experienced. Visitors are always very welcome. Please do not hesitate to contact the school direct (01204 337343) with any queries you may have.
Thank you for visiting our website.
